The Idea...

After Val and I [Shilo] went to see the Moffats in Toronto, we started throwing around the idea of a band, but at the time neither of us were serious. A month or two later though, the idea was still floating around in my head, so I mentioned it again to Val. Then I asked her if she wanted to join. She said okay. So then we were two.
Then I was sitting in science class, passing notes with my friend Melanie and I mentioned the band. Knowing that she has a great singing voice, I asked her if she'd like to be a member. Then I ran the name by her. She loved it!!! So now we were three.
At lunch, after Mel had recorded a song idea on tape, Janice was listening to it and commented that Mel was a good singer. We told her about our band, and she was eager to join, but at first thought we were rock, and was disapointed to be told otherwise. Nevertheless, she was the fourth member.
Finally one lunch we were all huddled in the library talking about band practice when Julie overheard our conversation. She jokingly asked if she could join and we all loved the idea, so we agreed.
So that was how Feminin came to be.

Practices, Auditions and Name Problems...
Among Many Things

Okay, so in some sense we were a band, mind you we had never had a practice yet. We were all talk, at for awhile it seemed like we would never get anywhere.
So everyone had a part. Janice was our master guitar player, Mel was our singer, Val was on keyboards, and Julie was on drums, the instrument I [Shilo] wanted to play. But Julie is way better than me, so I didn't really mind, I just felt useless all of a sudden, until we decided me and Mel would both be singers. Now everyone was happy.
Except for the name, and our style. Janice, Julie and Val wanted to change the name. To Paradox. They also wanted to become for alternative/heavy metal. None of that pop crap. But Mel and me still loved our name because it suited our pop look. What to do, what to do? We finally decided that for the time being, we'd go by both names and confuse the hell out of people. I we go and perform all pop/alternative music we'll go by Feminin. And if we do the heavy metal thing we'll go by Paradox. Now everyone really is happy.

Biggest Dream

Our band's biggest dream is to sign a record contract. Except for Val, because she'd hate anything to do with the possibilty of fame. You never know though...

First Completed Song

The first song we totally finished was Falling...
